Otter & EllieChristy’s Therapy Dogs

Otter is a six year old labradoodle who has lots of experience in the office. He loves most laying on his back while getting belly rubs.

Ellie is a five year old American Cocker Spaniel and Otter’s best friend. She loves sitting in or (although discouraged) jumping onto laps, playing with any toys, getting lots of pets and especially loves treats.

Wes ContrerasGraduate Student Intern

Wes is in his final year of pursuing his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adler Graduate School. As part of his graduation requirements, he is completing 300 hours of care and then will transition towards licensure. He has completed specialized training in managing ADHD, treating complex trauma, and supporting psychedelic integration. Wes is currently enrolled in the Existential-Humanistic Institute’s certificate program, diving deep into accessing internal processes, meaning-making, and existentialism. Before becoming a therapist, he spent a long career in corporate technology as a data analyst and software engineer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Consultation

We offer a free 30-minute consultation (via telehealth or phone), so we can get a sense of whether you are well matched with the clinician.

After the consultation session, in person sessions will be available at our office or continue online. We can discuss more about how this works.

Telehealth

Just like a face-to-face appointment, your Telehealth visit will be private and confidential. Our system for telehealth video conferencing is easy to use and will be set up along with the secure client portal. Access to sufficiently fast internet and a quiet location is recommended and preferred for doing your counseling via telehealth.

Rx/Emergencies

We are not authorized to prescribe medication. However, we can work together to identify prescribers for your mental health needs if medications are suggested.

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact the Marion County Psychiatric Crisis Center at 503-585-4949, nationally, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline on the phone number 988 or chat.

Good Faith Estimate

Through the No Surprises Act, clients who are not using insurance can receive an estimate of the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. We will provide the estimate in writing at least 1 business day before we begin therapy.

For information, call 800-368-1019 or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Payments

With most services now online, payment through a secure Stripe online system is preferred immediately after session. Co-payments are due at the time of service unless we have arranged something otherwise.

Secure Online Portal

We use a secure system called Simple Practice to manage your health records. This system is HIPAA compliant, allows for all scheduling and billing, and provides the opportunity to fill out electronic forms and access telehealth video conferencing.

Cancellation Policy

If you do not attend your scheduled appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay $75 for a missed session unless another arrangement has been made. Graduate Student Intern cancellation rate is $40 per session.
